Poison Tree is a totally independent publishing house and music label where contributors are free to create without bowing to the demands of the modern content creation paradigm. We emphasize a disconnect from algorithmically controlled, ephemeral consumption, making a point to focus on the production and preservation of our writing and music in enduring digital and physical formats.

Makes stuff
In creating lasting, curated collections of art and communications from underground voices around the world, we are climbing out of the walled garden of social media in the hope that the tools of this century need not be surrendered to those who would use them to steal and sell our attention and subordinate human creativity to profit. To make such an effort viable for artists and the public alike, Poison Tree will always take the lowest sustainable cut of the project’s proceeds. The cut we do take is used on maintenance (hosting fees and the like) or put towards future projects.
And community

This is a community above all else, meant to foster collaboration and mutual development between artists of all crafts. We especially seek to promote the efforts of worker-artists: non-professionals whose talents may not otherwise be recognized by the dominant systems of artistic production. Through the work of many hands, we are planting a grove of our own.
