The dEALERS formed in mid-’90s Philadelphia as a fusion of noisy guitar and thoughtful spoken word. They’ve played with Bedhead, Uptown Bones, Photon Band, and countless others in the ‘90s punk and alternative scene. Eric of The dEALERS described their process as follows: “we would meet in the basement of whichever west Philly punk house Charles happened to be living in, 2 of us would smoke out & 1 of us would partake in his insanely advanced sugar addiction, and then we’d start making noise. Charles could already play guitar a bit but Simon & I had theretofore never played our instruments… the songs on Eastern PA Secession Movement were all recorded on a Tascam 4 track or simply on a Sony Walkman with a condenser mic. They were never played more than once.”

Notable records include The Eastern Pennsylvania Secession Movement, a split LP with 0x, and The Trans-Atlantic Super Sonic Suss Machine, a split EP with Cornershop of “Brimful of Asha” fame. The latter was released under The Administration Label, now a partner of Poison Alder for our vinyl releases.

New vinyl pressings of The dEALERS coming very soon.
