The dEALERS formed in mid-’90s Philadelphia as a fusion of noisy guitar and thoughtful spoken word. They’ve played with Bedhead, Uptown Bones, Photon Band, and countless others in the ‘90s punk and alternative scene. Eric of The dEALERS described their process in Freedom Has No Bounds as follows: “we would meet in the basement of whichever west Philly punk house Charles happened to be living in, 2 of us would smoke out & 1 of us would partake in his insanely advanced sugar addiction, and then we’d start making noise…the songs on Eastern PA Secession Movement were all recorded on a Tascam 4 track or simply on a Sony Walkman with a condenser mic. They were never played more than once.”

Gary Len is an Irish indie musician, originally from Dundalk and living in Dublin. Gary Len writes and mixes all his own songs and relies heavily on the guitar for emotional and musical support. Gary Len is a pseudonym, too, but don't hold that against him.

He studied  English and Philosophy at Trinity College Dublin, but you wouldn't know that from his lyrics. The themes of his songs tend to centre around the troubles of youth in Ireland, from road traffic accidents to lost romance. His favourite guitar is his made-in-Mexico Fender Jaguar, and his favourite guitar pedal is his Chroma console. He can barely play piano, but never lets that stop him. He has produced all of his songs in Ableton Live and learned how to do so through YouTube tutorials and a brief stint making 2016 SoundCloud beats. Gary Len is Joey, and Joey has played in the Dublin band Half Left for the last year, a group renowned for its existential post-punk and fondness for screaming.

His first album was The Money Shot, a primarily lo-fi rock record. This was followed by One Week Later, Weak End, Polar and Martha’s Vineyard. These EPs were written in a fever in his bedroom one summer. His first proper album was Chance, released in 2025, and his most recent album was Vestige, released in 2026, whose initial track, “Flowers,” details driving past the laurel wreaths in rural Ireland that commemorate road traffic fatalities.

Gary Len loves dancing above all and has given himself whiplash from headbanging on numerous occasions.
